Peter Vint is uniquely positioned to meet your international contracting needs. He has continually demonstrated his skill at drafting and negotiating international contracts using several major languages, and he continues to refine his skills and broaden his abilities in this area.

This firm is an operations law firm designed to make deals happen. Peter has spent years living and working in Europe, Asia and Latin America and has developed cultural sensitivity and insights that can be acquired no other way. He understands the cultural nuances on both sides of the table and can overcome any difficulties presented. Peter can make the deal happen in any cultural context.

Peter has worked with international law firms such as Baker & McKenzie; Coudert Brothers; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius; and Kim & Chang in Korea. He has negotiated contracts for Korean firms, for Saudi Arabian companies. He has worked for Bolivian national tin and oil companies; and represented Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation.

Currently, he assists the government of Taiwan with its acquisition of defense systems and materials, many acquired from major U.S. defense contractors. In this capacity he plans, drafts and negotiates contracts using Mandarin Chinese. He has represented Taiwan in international arbitration.

While in Iraq recently as a Colonel in the U.S. Army, Peter served as General Counsel for the Joint Contracting Command-Iraq/Afghanistan, where he was responsible for planning, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating over $4 billion of Iraq reconstruction contracts.

Peter is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese; and he has a strong background in Arabic, Italian, Korean and German.
